Heading back home today from an amazing trip.  If anyone is seriously interested in real estate investments or finding an amazing retirement location, you cannot beat Medellin.  Such a beautiful city. 

Everyone says, but Chris, isn’t it the drug cartel capital of the world?  That was so  20+ years ago.  The city really cleaned up its act.  The Wall Street Journal just awarded Medellin last year the most “innovative city” in the world.   It’s pretty awesome.

And you know what else is awesome? 

Mastermind groups. 

I have discussed this before and I bring it up again because they work.  It was so cool to hear from another client this morning who just got a $500,000 listing from a mastermind referral.

And you know how much papa bear loves cheap and easy referrals!

So make sure mastermind groups are on your radar for 2018.  You can join one already established, there are many of them and they can cost up to $30,000 a year.  Yep, you can spend that much on them.

Or better yet, just start your own.  I have done this in the past with great success.  I just joined a mastermind group 2 weeks ago, probably my 4th or 5th group I have been a part of.

Just hit up some other listing agents outside of your marketplace, but close by (that way everyone is free to share).  Maybe they are acquaintances of yours in another county or another state.  Call them and ask them if they want to meet up on the phone or in person once a month.  So easy. 

You can start off with just the two of you.  Gradually add more people.   You don’t need more than 6 or 7 though.

And you meet each time and talk about your marketing, what’s working, what’s not working, what’s going on in your market, your office, etc.  Give each person time to talk and share.

It’s fun, it energizing, it’s motivational, you get new ideas from them and most importantly, you establish new relationships with others that can refer you business.

And did I mention it’s free?

So start your mastermind group today, have fun with it, make new friends and have yourself another source for your Epic listing referrals!
