I walked 6 miles each Saturday and Sunday and had a great weekend in spite of working all weekend.
It wasn’t a perfect weekend, or was it? What is perfection?
Perfection is a lie.
Perfection has ruined many new beginnings. It has kept many from achieving greatness. It’s killed many dreams.
I can’t tell you how many conversations I have had with truly bomb-ass listing agents who were afraid of starting new prospecting methods because they “need all their ducks in a row”.
Screw that!
I have never really had this problem because sometimes I just blindly do things not caring about the consequences. Maybe I am a little crazy this way. And it’s gotten me into some embarrassing situations.
And you know what I say? So what!
You can’t be phased if you do something silly or say the wrong. Hell, I do this all the time.
Don’t be perfect. That is NOT your goal.
Never put pressure on yourself for perfection, ever.
That’s where procrastination and anxiety enter.
The key is peak performance. Being your best is good enough.
And you want that listing? You want that appointment?
Well, you’re not going to get it by being perfect.
Done is better than perfect.
