Today is Veteran’s Day in the United States and we respect everything they do for our country.

And I have to respect all of us for doing the right thing in trying to prospect every day, 5 days a week.

You know I preach about consistently marketing/prospecting 5 days a week, blah, blah, blah.

But one thing we all have to understand is that we are all human and sometimes shit goes sideways.

Our days get mangled up with escrows, clients, personal lives, etc. 

So are we going to be perfect in our marketing? 

No.

Should we try?

Yes.

So listen, do your best.  Tie your daily actions to your goals.  Set minimum standards for what you will do EVERY day.  Even if that means just calling for 20 minutes a day or calling 5 people and asking them referrals.

And then do everything you can to make that happen!

In the event though that your assistant dies, or your wife leaves you or you find out your mistress is suing you for millions of dollars, then give yourself a break.

Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t prospect that day or that week.  Do you know what you do?

Get back on that horse and start new the next day.  Don’t jump on the pity pot and say your week is ruined. 

Get back into the flow and make your dreams come true.  Don’t use it as an excuse to stop altogether.
