I have to laugh, I was listening to a marketing presentation on Clubhouse, the new social media app, and they were telling us all the sophisticated ways to stay in touch with our SOI (sphere of influence).
One guy said email marketing was dead. And one guy didn’t even talk about how often to email.
I think they’re both missing the boat here.
Trust me, email marketing it NOT dead.
I love sending emails to my clients that give them good information about the San Francisco market.
This is a great way to stay in touch with your clients in today’s environment.
How often? I would send out an email to your entire SOI list every 1 to 4 weeks.
Now I know what many of you are thinking. It’s the old, “But Chris, don’t you think that is too often?”
This is REALLY important to know. Emailing too often is only an obstacle in YOUR mind, not your clients.
I send out this email that you’re reading to all of my Agents Unleashed 3 times a week.
I send out an email to my real estate SOI about every 1-2 weeks.
I would say that I maybe get .00045% of my lists that say that I am emailing too much. That’s POINT ZERO ZERO ZERO FOUR FIVE PERCENT!
Mostly I get great compliments from those on my list for the great content I provide.
And there’s the point. You have to give them great content.
Send them information on your market. Info on recent sales. Info on what’s going on in your community.
If the content is great, they’re not going to mind.
Now, this doesn’t take the place of you still calling them every few months.
But it does further cement in their minds one thing.
It cements your name and the word “real estate” together.
