It’s really weird, as I was telling the members in the Collective last week, when I got back in to San Francisco last week I was following up on a lot of messages.  And a family member of mine, in a very passive-aggressive manner, criticized me for some of my dreams.  

She said that I am crazy to want to spend time in Panama and gave me an entire litany of reasons why it was bad.

And get this, all the reasons were about her.

It’s really funny when you break out of the box and start changing up your life for the better in your business or personal life, there are going to be people in your life who will not support you, will not like it and will try to bring you down.  

When I left my job as a CPA to become a listing agent, I was criticized.

When I sold my house in the Wine Country, I was criticized.

When bought investment properties in Louisiana and Oklahoma, I was criticized.

When we decided to move to Panama in the next few years, I was criticized.

I have talked to many people about this and they have experienced the same thing.

You would think that most people would be happy for you and support you. 

I seriously believe a lot of people’s negative reactions to you making changes in your life is out of jealousy, insecurities or whatever.

It’s not about you.  It’s about them.

So aim high in your business.  Make yourself the best listing agent you can.  Follow your dreams.  Become an Agent Unleashed!

And just know many people may not support you.  The important people in your life will.

So don’t let the bastards get you down.
