My partner’s parents just arrived from Brazil this morning and it’s going to be a super chill day with them. What a great day to reflect, journal, be grateful, walk along the ocean and just chill.
Had dinner with some gringos last night and we were talking about this saying “Merry Christmas” vs. saying “Happy Holidays” thing that gets people so worked up.
I am fine with someone saying happy holidays.
I am fine with someone saying Merry Christmas.
I am fine with both, because I believe the intent behind each is one of happiness, joy and bestowing good wishes on the recipient, no?
So if you do not celebrate Christmas and someone says “Merry Christmas” to you, their intent is one of peace and good tidings, no?
And if you do celebrate Christmas and someone says “Happy Holidays” to you, their intent is one of peace and good tidings, no?
So both are fine, no?
So whatever you celebrate or don’t celebrate, please know that I cherish you for all the support and feedback you have given me over the past year.
