I was talking to a super funny and highly motivated (she’s like the Energizer Bunny) listing agent back East and we were talking about how to reach prospects in a funny and creative way.
And I have to admit, she has some very good ideas on how to reach listing prospects.
See the problem I have had, we all have had, is you get a great listing lead and you can’t reach the sellers.
And after calling them for 5 times, 10 times or 15 times (just kidding, I usually stop after 5-7 times), you usually just trash them.
If it’s a listing she really wants, she gets creative.
Her favorite way to reach them is to send them “pizza bombs”.
I asked her, “ what in the hell is a pizza bomb?”
She told me she sends the sellers a pizza to be delivered to their home one night unsolicited with a note written right on the box asking them for an appointment.
Now I have to admit, after being in the listing business for over 25 years, this one took me by surprise.
She said, 9 times out of 10, they call her immediately and are all giddy and thankful and she usually gets a meeting with them.
I don’t know if this is something you would do or could do, but you have to give her credit, it’s pretty creative.
So think about creative ways you can reach those listing prospects instead of just calling them.
Especially for listings that you would love to have.
Think outside the box (pun intended).
