Had a massive escrow issue where our seller was being a class A ass. The HOA called him a horse’s ass. The buyer’s agent called him an SOB. My secretary called him a jerk. Get the picture?
This guy has issues, we can agree on that.
But he’s always nice to me. So we’ll continue to work with him.
And I have gone above and beyond the call of duty on this one.
He’s told me that resolving the HOA screwup, fixing the HOA board relationship with him, dealing with the City regulations, etc have cemented in his mind that we are providing 6-Star service.
Providing 6-Star service to your clients is key in this day and age.
Whether your clients are jerks or not (within limits), when your sellers walk away from a transaction with a great, no, exceptional service in mind when thinking of you, you have done your job.
I know I am preaching to the choir here.
So really think out of the box here. What can you do every day in a little way or a huge way to provide kickass service to your sellers?
And for this client, spending 3 hours in the HOA office resolving an accounting screw up on the part of the HOA was the ticket.
My client said he was eternally grateful for all the work I did above and beyond. And he has another condo in the building we will sell for him in the next 6 months.
Now if I can just get everyone else on my team to realize this guy, maybe, isn’t an ass.
