We just arrived back in San Francisco last night to meet with clients for the next two weeks. My first meeting is at 10 a.m. this morning with a prospective new listing after arriving at 1 a.m. last night….this meeting should be interesting.
Someone said something on Instagram last night that reminded me of something we could ALL use to do.
Take a listing agent pro out to lunch.
I have always said if you want to learn how to play tennis, play with someone better than you.
And this applies to your real estate business as well.
And one of the easiest ways to do this to get out of your comfort zone and invite a super successful listing agent to lunch.
Listen, you may not feel comfortable doing this, inviting someone to lunch you don’t know, but I used to do this all the time and they love it.
They feel honored and flattered to receive the following message: “Hi Cindy, this is Chris with Compass Real Estate and I have really admired you and the way you do your business and I was wondering if I can take you to lunch at your convenience and ask you some questions?”
Who wouldn’t want to receive that message?
You are stroking their ego. They get a free lunch. And I believe that most people are good and want to help others.
And if you don’t want to do it with a listing agent in your marketplace, do it with a listing agent in the next town over.
This is a super fun way to learn more.
Make a new friend.
And get inspired.
