I was talking to a girlfriend about that game marry, shag, kill (silly I know) as it related to some politicians and I could never tell you our answers.  Some funny answers they were! 

Have you ever thought of playing this game with your sellers?  Boy or boy, would I like to kill off some of them sometimes, metaphorically speaking. 

Have you ever had a seller that just gets on your last remaining nerve? 

Arrogant, entitled, desperate, know it all, rude, disrespectful.  All words I have used to describe some sellers I have had in the past. 

But I had one recent seller that really embodied all those words. 

And I killed him, metaphorically, buy firing his ass!

When you have sellers that don’t value your opinion and challenge everything you say and are so  manipulative and mean, get rid of them.  They are not worth the time and just suck your energy.   I call them energy vampires.  You don’t need them in your life.

You know the type.  I don’t have to explain how they make you feel, do I?  As Epic listing agents, we should all work with sellers we want to work with, people who value our time and advice.

This jackass I just fired was a CPA who hasn’t sold a house in 20 years, but he knew the best ways to sell homes, micromanaged everything and every time he tried to get his point across, he was screaming.

And I really dislike screaming clients.

After 25 years in the business, I don’t need that aggravation in my life. 

Life is too short.

When he wanted to INCREASE the listing price after 3 weeks on the market with no offers, I lost it.  I tried to explain to him that his strategy was flawed.  He screamed at me.  I said bye bye.

And do you know how freeing it is to fire a screaming client?

Words can’t explain. 

So give your best to all your sellers.  And as I point out in the Top Producer Blueprint, don’t sacrifice your dignity, health and sanity to sellers that are going to suck the energy right out of you.
