It’s a rainy rainy day in San Francisco, been up since 4 a.m., in the office at 5:20 a.m. setting my goals and journaling and getting organized for the day. One of these days I am going to sleep in, which for me, would be sleeping till 7 a.m. OMG, what a luxury that would be! If only my body would let me.
What do Oscar Wilde, Susan Sontag, Marcus Aurelius, John Quincy Adams, Anne Frank, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Virginia Woolf, Henry David Thoreau, Joan Didion all have in common?
It’s simple. They journaled.
Some did it in the a.m., some did it p.m. Some recorded their deepest pain and some did it to set the tone for their day. They used it to work through their deepest thoughts and to manifest their dreams and desires.
Why can’t we do the same as Epic listing agents?
Take the time every day, even if it’s just a few minutes, to jot down what’s important to you.
I always journal, almost every day, it’s rare that I don’t. And I always start out what I am grateful for and what I am looking forward to in that day. “I am so blessed and grateful…..” is a great way to start out your daily journaling.
Develop this practice daily. Make it a habit.
To paraphrase the Roman philosopher Seneca, “The thoughts should become words so that they might become works.”
Make your thoughts your works for the day. Meditate, pray and plan on how to act for the day. Envision everything you have to conquer and everything you will manifest during the day. That new listing? That successful closing? That successful property inspection?
By doing so, you will write the script of your day and, ultimately, your life just they way you want it to go.
