I had a great meeting with a seller yesterday who I have been courting for years to sell his condo. For years he has been telling me he may sell and I just keep calling him. I’ll keep calling someone as long as they talk to me and keep saying they will sell.
And when it came time to sign the listing agreement, I had put 6% commission in the agreement. He asked me if there was any way to make the commission lower.
I have a simple answer when sellers ask for me to reduce my commission.
“No, any other questions?”
You see, sometimes sellers just feel that they have to ask the question and will respect your answer.
So when they asked, I said, “No, any other questions”. He said “Oh, ok.” And then we moved on in the conversation. And not only that, but I got a 6-month listing as well.
So be strong and confident when answering them.

But sometimes just a quick “No, any other questions” will do the trick.
