Hope you had a great weekend! This past weekend was work the entire time coordinating open houses and doing some planning.
I had a wonderful conversation with my dear friend Sharon in Las Vegas about what really motivates everyone to do something and we boiled it all down to one thing.
This is the question that we have to constantly be asking ourselves and always coming back to.
You see, if you really really really (how’s that for emphasis?) want to become an Epic listing agent, then you should always tie your actions back to your why.
I am asking myself what my why is all the time.
And let me tell you, money is not a “why”.
At the risk of getting personal, I have made a lot of money. I have lost a lot of money. In both situations, that, in and of itself, did not bring me joy.
Your why may be to support your family. Or to support a horse farm that helps underprivileged children. Or to pay medical bills for your family.
Whatever it is, your reason for being, your “why”, always needs to be tied back to your actions in what you’re doing.
I believe this is what will provide you with the motivation to become your best self.
I am asking everyone around me what is there why.
And I am asking listing agents the same thing. Some people I have talked to can’t articulate their why, why they want to be an Epic listing agent. Some of these people should get out of real estate altogether because they have no business being in real estate. They don’t like it and it has nothing to do with their why.
Sorry for being so esoteric on you.
But it is your why that is going to make you great.
